Mr. Graciano Cruz, owner of Los Lajones Manor in Panama, visited Baoshan to explore the coffee industry

Panama Geisha Coffee is world-famous. It has won many championships in world competitions. The price per kilogram is over 1000 yuan. In order to learn Panama\'s experience, Baoshan Saoyuan Coffee Co., Ltd. invited Mr. Graciano Cruz, the owner of Los Lajones Manor in Panama, and Ms. Lin Peiyan, CEO of Taiwan Heiwo Coffee Co., Ltd. to visit Baoshan from March 29 to 30, 2019 for an exchange. Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences Researchers Huang Jiaxiong and Lu Yulan were invited to participate in the exchange activities. First, the two sides introduced coffee scientific research, production, sales and consumption, and reached consensus on the introduction of more than 20 high-quality coffee varieties such as Geisha (Rose Summer) from Panama. Second, five samples (Cator varieties) from 700-1600 meters above sea level from the Institute of Thermal Economics of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and nine samples from Los Lajones Manor, Panama. Samples (Geisha, Red Fruit Catuai and Yellow Fruit Catuai) were cupped. The results showed that the scoring values of five sample cups from the Institute of Thermal Economics, Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences were between 81 and 83 points, and increased with the elevation. The scoring values of nine sample cups from Los Lajones Manor, Panama, were between 86 and 90 points. The cupping results showed that: (1) pure small seeds had higher scoring values than Catimor hybrids, indicating that there existed a phase between varieties and quality. Relevance; 2) Catimor hybrids score more than 80 points, indicating that as long as the fine processing of Catimor hybrids can also reach the top grade; 3) Catimor hybrids cup test score with elevation increases, indicating that there is a correlation between quality and environment. Thirdly, under the guidance of Mr. Graciano Cruz, coffee honey processing experiments were conducted. The experiments were divided into two groups: direct dehulling of fresh coffee fruits and dehulling of fresh coffee fruits after soaking in clear water. Each treatment was 30 kg, and a control group was set up. Sugar content, temperature, water temperature, soybean temperature and other changes were measured in the whole experiment process, from which Panama champion beans were produced and processed.
